Short Description
The Laboratory of Geography aims at embedding into the study of spatial systems the geographic view through the management of qualitative/quantitative data. These data are used as input to planning endeavours in order for relevant interventions, capable of coping with these problems, to be deployed.
Members of the Laboratory engage in educational and research activities that:
- address contemporary societal challenges, e.g. sustainable development, urban/regional development, smart cities and communities, climate change and local/regional development, resilience and risk management;
- focus on various regions’ typologies and spatial scales, such as coastal/insular, mountainous, peripheral, urban/periurban regions etc.
