The School’s main building infrastructure is located at the NTUA Zografou Campus. It consists of the original building complex (the Lampadarios Building), which was built in the early 1970s, and Buildings ‘A’ and ‘VEI’, which began operations in 2001. The total floor area of the complex is 5,685 sq m, and the built-up area is 16,600 sq m.
To meet the teaching needs of undergraduate and graduate courses, the School operates 4 lecture halls (2 in the ‘Lampadarios Building’ and 2 in the ‘VEI Building’), 9 classrooms, as well as the Geoinformatics Center with 2 rooms.
The Geoinformatics Center was established in 1996 and serves as the hub of the School’s IT activities (PC Labs). It is equipped with hardware and software to meet course requirements and support the research activities of students and faculty. It features its own independent IT network that is also integrated into the broader NTUA network facilities.
All classrooms and lecture halls are equipped with modern projection systems.
In addition to the building complex on the Zografou Campus, the School operates ‘Dionysos Satellite Center’ in Dionysos, Attiki, comprising two buildings with a total floor area of 1,260 sq m of office space, lecture halls, historical and modern instruments, and specialized facilities. The outdoor area houses the ‘zero point’ facility of the Hellenic Geodetic Reference System 1987 (GGRS 1987), which the country uses for geodetic and cartographic purposes.
